Frequently Asked Questions

Please email us via the contact page if you cannot find an answer to your question.

It is advised you come in for a consultation prior to booking the Cosmetic Tattoo appointment to see if you are a suitable candidate. However if you have already, some ways to prepare are to refrain from the following:

  • Coffee, alcohol or stimulants for 24-48 hrs prior treatment
  • Anti-wrinkle injections, chemical peels, laser or intensive skin treatments for 2 weeks prior tattoo
  • Blood thinners (ibuprofen/aspirin) for a week prior (NOTE: please seek medical advice and provide a doctors approval letter before ceasing any medication)
  • Vitamins and fish oils for 5-7 days prior
  • Prolonged sun exposure or tanning beds for 2 weeks prior

Minimal to no pain has been noted as a topical numbing cream is used prior to all treatments, and is also used during the Cosmetic Tattoo procedure.

You certainly can! Better yet, additional treatments on the same day will be discounted down as a special treat to you!

  •  Keep your brows dry for at least 24 hours.
  • Apply aloe vera / soothing gel to soothe the area for 5 days if skin feels irritated.
  • Avoid perfumes, harsh products on the skin for 3 days.
  • Avoid excess heat, swimming, saunas, or excessive sun exposure and sweating for 1-2 days.
  • Do not apply Vitamin A/Retin-A, AHA/BHA’s, or exfoliants around the brow area for at least 3 days. Use of these products may cause skin irritation and cause the brow dye to fade quickly.
  • Avoid oil-based products (including oil-based makeup) on or around the brows.
  • Avoid touching your brows between appointments (tweezing, trimming or waxing yourself) as this will ruin the desired shape your stylist is achieving for you.

It depends on how your lips or brows are looking, however if you see gaps, patchiness or the pigment has faded more than you like, then that is the best time to book in for your touch up. Based on our recommendation, a yearly touch up would be ideal to keep the brows or lips looking fresh and at their best.

A consultation would be ideal, however if you cant wait for a pamper, it is recommended to book in for the Lux Enzyme Peel as this is customisable according to each skin type and is pregnancy/breastfeeding safe. Although a Lux Micro is also safe, this may be contraindicated for those who suffer with acne or multiple pustules. Additionally, you can add a consultation to your facial for a thorough facial analysis and skincare plan.

Booking Information and Cancellations

As we are a home-based clinic, arrival time before your appointment is advised to be between 5-10 minutes prior to your booking time. We kindly ask that a deposit is required in order to secure your booking. If by any chance you cancel/reschedule your appointment prior to 48 hours of your booking time, your deposit will remain on your file until your next appointment. If you cancel/reschedule less than 48 hours of your booking time (or do not show up), your deposit will then be forfeited. Deposits that are left on file must be redeemed within 12 months or deposits will be forfeited. Booking deposits are non-refundable.
